Forsaken – PS1 Game

Forsaken is a first-person shooter for the PlayStation set in enclosed tunnels, shafts and chambers where you move with full freedom in all six directions. You pilot a heavily armed hoverbike, so as well as steering and strafing you can climb, dive and roll, and orientation shifts constantly as you fight through the twisting interiors of a ruined Earth. Levels are maze-like and often require finding keys or switches to open the route ahead while enemy craft and turrets attack from any angle. A range of weapons and power-ups is scattered through the environments, along with shield and energy pickups. The game also includes multiplayer deathmatch played in the same three-dimensional arenas. The control scheme takes some adjustment, since keeping track of up and down is part of the challenge.
