Frank Thomas Big Hurt Baseball – Sega Genesis Game

Frank Thomas Big Hurt Baseball is a baseball game for the Sega Genesis carrying the endorsement of slugger Frank Thomas. Play covers the standard cycle of pitching, batting and fielding: you choose pitch types and locations, time your swing at the plate, and take control of fielders once the ball is put into play. Batting and pitching use a cursor-style aiming approach for placing the ball, and the game is built around full nine-inning contests. Alongside single exhibition games there are longer options for playing through a schedule, plus statistics tracking and roster management of the sort expected from mid-1990s console baseball. Presentation uses digitised-looking player sprites and a behind-the-pitcher camera for at-bats, switching to a field view for defence. Two players can compete head to head.
