G-LOC Air Battle – Sega Genesis Game

G-LOC Air Battle is the Sega Genesis conversion of Sega’s jet combat arcade game. You fly a fighter through mission-based sorties, using a machine gun for close targets and lock-on missiles for enemies at range, with the goal of downing a required number of aircraft or destroying ground and sea targets before your fuel or time runs out. The action is presented from behind and inside the cockpit rather than as a free-roaming flight simulation: your aircraft is pushed forward automatically while you steer, roll and dodge incoming fire. The title refers to the loss of consciousness pilots can suffer under high g-forces, and the game leans on that theme of hard manoeuvring. Difficulty rises across successive stages, with refuelling and rearming between missions.
