Galerians Ash – PS2 Game

Galerians: Ash continues the story of Rion, the psychically powered protagonist of the earlier PlayStation game, in a 3D action horror setting. You move through fully polygonal environments rather than pre-rendered backdrops, fighting human and Galerian enemies with telekinetic and energy-based powers rather than ordinary weapons. Abilities are fuelled by drugs that Rion administers to himself, and heavy use raises his mental strain, which can turn dangerous if left unchecked, so you balance aggression against the need to stabilise him. Combat mixes lock-on targeting with different powers suited to different enemies, while exploration involves searching areas for supplies and story documents. Cutscenes carry a plot centred on Rion, the artificial beings pursuing him, and the events that followed the first game.
