Get on Da Mic – PS2 Game

Get on Da Mic is a rhythm and performance game for the PlayStation 2 built around hip-hop vocals. Using a microphone, you perform along with licensed rap tracks, following on-screen lyrics and timing cues as they scroll past, with the game scoring how closely you match the rhythm and delivery of each line. Song selection covers well-known rap tracks, and modes let you play through a career-style progression or hand the mic around in party settings with friends. Between performances the game leans on a hip-hop presentation of stages, crowds and customisation touches for your performer. Play is aimed squarely at group entertainment rather than solo mastery, and it fits alongside other microphone-based karaoke titles on the console. A microphone is required to perform.
