Ghostbusters – Sega Genesis Game

Ghostbusters for the Sega Genesis is a side-scrolling action game based on the film licence. You take a Ghostbuster through a series of haunted locations, firing a proton beam at ghosts and other supernatural enemies and clearing each stage’s hazards and platforms on the way to a boss encounter. Between levels you can spend money earned from busting ghosts on equipment and upgrades, improving your gear before tackling tougher areas. Stages feature a mix of platforming and shooting, with enemies that circle, dive and pass through walls, plus larger spirits that need repeated hits to bring down. The presentation leans on the film’s characters and props, with familiar equipment and ghostly opponents. It plays as a straightforward run-and-gun platformer with light between-mission shopping.
