Ghostbusters – Sega Master System Game

Ghostbusters on the Sega Master System adapts the home computer game based on the film. You run a ghostbusting business in a city map, choosing a vehicle and buying equipment such as traps and detection gear with your starting funds. When an alert comes in you drive to the reported haunting, then take control of a ground-level sequence in which you position your Ghostbusters and drop a trap to catch the roaming ghost. Successful captures earn money, which you reinvest in better equipment, while failures cost you. As paranormal activity in the city rises, the game builds toward a confrontation at the haunted apartment building. The mix of management, driving and capture minigames gives it a different structure from the era’s more typical action platformers.
