Goblin Commander – Gamecube Game

Goblin Commander is a real-time strategy game built for a console controller on GameCube. You command armies of goblins drawn from distinct clans, each with its own unit types and strengths, sending them across battlefields to destroy enemy structures and control the map. Resources are gathered from the field and spent on producing units and expanding your forces, and units can be grouped into squads so you can direct large numbers without individual micromanagement. Larger, more powerful units and clan-specific abilities become available as you progress, and campaign missions set particular objectives rather than simply repeating open battles. The control scheme is simplified for a gamepad, using a cursor and shortcut commands instead of a mouse. Presentation is dark-fantasy in tone, with an isometric-style view of the fighting.
