Grind Session – PS1 Game

Grind Session is a skateboarding game for the original PlayStation. You skate through street and park environments made up of rails, ledges, ramps and gaps, chaining ollies, grinds, grabs and flip tricks into combos for points. Runs are typically timed, with objectives and score targets to clear in order to open up further areas, and the trick system rewards linking moves together and landing cleanly rather than bailing. The roster is built around licensed professional skaters, each selectable before a run, and boards and stances vary between them. Controls follow the pattern established by late-1990s skating titles, with button combinations for tricks and modifiers for spins and variations. There are also free-skate options for learning a level’s lines without a clock running.
