Grooverider Slot Car Thunder is a racing game for the Nintendo GameCube built around slot cars rather than full-size vehicles. Races take place on toy tracks laid out across oversized environments, and your car follows the slot while you manage throttle and braking so it does not fly off the rails on corners and jumps. Taking a turn too fast sends the car out of its lane, so pacing and knowing when to ease off are central to fast lap times. You race against rival cars over multiple laps, with tracks that add loops, crossovers and elevation changes. Different cars and upgrades can be used as you progress through the game’s events, and multiple players can race on the same console.
