Guardian’s Crusade – PS1 Game

Guardian’s Crusade is a role-playing game for the PlayStation 1 with a bright, storybook presentation. You play as a young knight travelling with a large, silent creature that follows you through the world, and much of the game’s tone comes from that pairing. Battles are turn-based and fought against monsters encountered on your journey, with equipment and stat growth handled in the usual RPG fashion. Alongside the main quest you can find living toys, small helpers that can be collected and used to assist you. The world is explored from an overhead perspective, with towns to visit, characters to speak with and dungeons to work through between story sequences. It is a gentler, lighter-toned RPG than many of the console’s darker fantasy titles.
