Guitar Hero World Tour on Wii lets you play lead guitar, bass, drums or vocals, solo or in a local band. Colored notes scroll down the screen and you strum or hit pads in time, while singers follow a pitch line using a microphone. The drum kit adds multiple pads and a kick pedal to the series’ guitar-based play, and career mode advances through venues across several difficulty levels. Character customisation is included, along with a music creation mode for building your own songs. The setlist draws on rock, metal and pop-rock master recordings. Compatible instrument controllers are needed; the Wii guitar controller holds a Wii Remote inside its body.
