Half-Minute Hero – PSP Game

Half-Minute Hero is a PlayStation Portable game that compresses role-playing quests into thirty-second bursts. In its main mode you set out to stop an evil lord from casting a spell that destroys the world, with a visible timer counting down; you level up by fighting monsters, gather gold and equipment in towns, and pay the Time Goddess to rewind the clock when you need more seconds. Movement, battles and shopping all happen at high speed across dozens of short scenarios, presented in pixel-art sprite graphics. Additional modes shift the perspective and genre, including stages built around evading enemies, commanding units, and shooting, each with its own rules and time pressure. The tone is comedic and self-aware, poking fun at familiar role-playing conventions.
