Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on GameCube is a 3D action-adventure set across Hogwarts and its grounds during the third story. Rather than playing only as Harry, you switch between Harry, Ron and Hermione, using each character’s spells and abilities together to work through puzzles that a single wizard cannot solve alone. Lessons teach new magic that you then apply in the castle, from moving objects to dealing with creatures in your way. The plot follows the third book, taking in Hogsmeade, the grounds and encounters with Dementors. Optional challenges, hidden items and collectibles are spread through the school, along with side activities to take on between story chapters. Locations and character designs draw on the film adaptation for their look.
