Harvest Moon Save the Homeland – PS2 Game

Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland puts a time limit and a purpose on the farming formula. You inherit a farm in a valley that is slated to be redeveloped, and you have a set stretch of time to prove the place is worth keeping. Rather than one long open-ended save, the game is built around multiple endings, each reached by following a particular thread with the valley’s residents and the work you choose to prioritise. Daily life still involves growing and harvesting crops, caring for animals, gathering from the surrounding countryside and shipping goods for money. Exploring the valley and talking to people uncovers the events that push each storyline forward. Unlike most entries in the series, there is no marriage; the focus is on the valley itself and how your story there ends.
