Haunted House – Wii Game

Haunted House on Wii revisits the premise of exploring a large, dark mansion room by room. You move through the building carrying a light source, searching for items and passages while avoiding the ghosts and other spirits that roam the halls. Because your view of each area is limited to what the light reveals, much of the play involves listening, watching for movement and retreating when something approaches rather than fighting it directly. Locked doors and missing pieces send you back and forth through the house as you piece together routes and collect what you need to progress. The Wii Remote is used for movement, aiming your light and interacting with objects. Presentation favours shadow, sound cues and a slow pace, keeping the emphasis on tension and navigation instead of combat.
