Heatseeker – PS2 Game

An arcade-oriented jet combat game built around licensed military aircraft. You fly missions that string together dogfights, ground and naval strikes, and escort or intercept objectives, choosing between cannon fire, guided missiles and other ordnance as targets appear. Handling is deliberately forgiving rather than simulation-focused: the planes turn quickly, stalls and complex systems are largely absent, and lock-on cues and on-screen prompts keep you pointed at the next threat. Missions take place over varied terrain including open ocean, coastlines and mountainous regions, with scripted radio chatter driving the action forward. Completing objectives unlocks further aircraft and assignments. The presentation leans on cockpit and chase cameras, replay-style flourishes during missile hits, and a fast mission structure aimed at short sessions rather than long flight planning.
