Hexen – PS1 Game

Hexen is a fantasy first-person action game in which you fight with melee weapons and spells rather than guns. Before starting you pick a fighter, cleric, or mage, each with distinct weapons, toughness, and speed, so the same maps demand different tactics. The game is structured in hubs: rather than finishing one level and moving on, you travel between linked areas, throwing switches and finding keys that open the way somewhere you have already been. You face beasts, undead, and enemy sorcerers, and carry inventory items such as healing flasks and magical artifacts that you trigger when needed. This PlayStation release adapts the game to a controller, with the level layouts, character classes, and puzzle-driven progression of the original intact.
