Based on the film sequel, this NES game puts you in control of Kevin McCallister after he ends up separated from his family in New York City. Play is built around side-scrolling and exploring areas drawn from the movie, including a large hotel where staff and the two burglars chase after Kevin. Rather than fight directly, you rely on toys and improvised gadgets to slow pursuers down, along with running, climbing and jumping to stay out of reach. Items scattered through the stages restore health or give you something new to throw. Progress means learning enemy routes and layouts so you can move through each area without being caught. Controls are simple, with a jump button and an attack button for whatever item Kevin is carrying.
