Hook – Sega Genesis Game

Hook for the Sega Genesis is a side-scrolling action platformer based on the film. You play Peter, working through stages set around Neverland, its pirate ships and coastline as you head toward Captain Hook. Movement covers running, jumping and climbing, while combat uses a sword against pirates and other enemies that block your path. Items are tucked away in the levels, and bosses appear at the ends of sections. The game asks you to learn layouts and enemy placement, since hazards and pits punish careless jumps. Presentation uses colourful sprite art and a Genesis chip soundtrack, with cartoon-styled character designs based on the movie’s cast. Controls are kept simple, with buttons mapped to jumping and attacking, making it approachable to pick up while still requiring precise platforming later on.
