Ice Age 2 The Meltdown – PS2 Game

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown on PlayStation 2 is a platformer based on the animated film. You move through 3D environments built around the movie’s thawing prehistoric world, running, jumping, and climbing across icy platforms while avoiding hazards and enemies. Acorns and other pickups are scattered through the levels to encourage exploration and reward careful platforming, and stages introduce obstacles such as collapsing ice, water, and moving surfaces. Cutscenes and character designs are drawn from the film, and the difficulty is pitched at a family audience, with checkpoints and simple controls. Stage layouts are broken into distinct areas with objectives to complete before moving on. It is a licensed platformer intended mainly for younger players and viewers of the movie.
