In Cold Blood – PS1 Game

A third-person action adventure for the PlayStation with an espionage plot. You play as a secret agent captured and imprisoned in a fictional Eastern European state, with the story moving between his interrogation and flashbacks to the mission that led there. Play mixes stealth, gunplay and puzzle solving: you sneak past guards and cameras, use cover, take out patrols, and work through locked doors, security systems and machinery using items and information gathered along the way. Conversations with other characters carry much of the plot, and cutscenes link the chapters together. Environments include prison blocks, industrial facilities and government buildings, presented with pre-rendered style backdrops and polygonal characters. The pacing is deliberate rather than action-heavy, with careful observation of guard routes often mattering more than shooting.
