Incoming – Sega Dreamcast Game

Incoming is a vehicle-based arcade shooter set during an alien invasion of Earth. You take control of military hardware including helicopters, tanks and jet aircraft, using mounted guns and missiles to shoot down waves of enemy craft and destroy ground targets across open 3D environments. Play is built around fast target acquisition and constant defence of installations, with the camera fixed behind whichever vehicle you are piloting. Missions are short and objective-driven, mixing dogfights against alien fighters with attacks on larger enemy structures. Along with the campaign, the game offers modes aimed at score-focused arcade play. The Dreamcast version uses the console’s hardware for smooth polygonal terrain, explosions and long draw distances, and the controls emphasise aiming reticules and simple flight handling rather than detailed simulation.
