An officially licensed open-wheel racing game for PlayStation 2 based on the IndyCar Series, featuring the drivers, cars and oval and road circuits of the championship. You run single races, practice and qualifying sessions, and a full season in which points accumulate across events. Handling is built around the specifics of Indy-style racing, with high speeds, drafting behind rivals on the ovals and pit strategy for fuel and tyres under caution periods. Setup options let you adjust the car before heading out, and assists can be turned on or off to suit how simulation-focused you want the driving to feel. Races support adjustable lengths and difficulty, so events can be run as short sprints or closer to full distance.
