Insector X – Sega Genesis Game

A horizontally scrolling shooter for the Sega Genesis with an insect theme. You fly a small craft through stages populated by oversized bugs and other creatures, firing forward and dodging enemy shots and projectiles as formations sweep across the screen. Power-ups dropped by defeated enemies change your weapon, and stronger boss insects appear at the end of stages, each with attack patterns you need to read before you can safely close in. Levels move through outdoor and mechanical backdrops, and collisions cost you a life, so positioning is as important as firepower. The pacing is that of an arcade shooter, with short stages, escalating enemy density and a focus on replaying to learn where threats come from.
