Iron Soldier 3 – PS1 Game

Iron Soldier 3 is a first-person mech combat game for the PlayStation, continuing a series that began on the Atari Jaguar. You pilot a large walking war machine through mission-based stages, viewing the battlefield from inside the cockpit. Objectives typically involve destroying enemy installations, vehicles and defensive positions, and much of the environment can be shot apart, including buildings and structures across the map. Before each mission you select a loadout from an armory of weapons, including guns, missiles, rockets and melee options, with limited slots forcing choices about how to approach an objective. Movement is deliberately heavy and slow, emphasizing weight and firepower over agility. Enemy forces range from infantry and tanks to aircraft and rival mechs. The campaign is structured as a sequence of separate missions with briefings between them.
