Izzy’s Quest for the Olympic Rings – Sega Genesis Game

Izzy’s Quest for the Olympic Rings is a side-scrolling platform game starring Izzy, the mascot character created for the Atlanta Olympic Games. You run, jump and stretch your way through themed stages in search of the Olympic rings, collecting items and avoiding hazards along the route. Izzy is an elastic, shape-shifting figure, and the game leans on that idea by letting him change form and use sports-flavoured moves to cross gaps and deal with obstacles. Stages are built around collecting and platform navigation rather than combat, with enemies to bypass or bounce on and bonus pickups tucked away off the main path. Presentation is bright and cartoonish throughout, with Olympic imagery and event motifs used as the backdrop for the level designs.
