Jewel Master – Sega Genesis Game

Jewel Master is a side-scrolling action game for the Sega Genesis. You play a young magician who fights through fantasy stages populated by monsters, using magical rings rather than a conventional weapon. Rings are equipped to your left and right hands, and each combination produces a different attack or spell, so experimenting with pairings is central to the game. Additional rings are found as you progress, expanding your options and letting you match spells against particular enemies and bosses. Levels scroll horizontally through castles, caverns and other fantasy locales, with platforming hazards between fights and a boss guarding the end of each area. Managing magic power alongside your health is part of the challenge, since spells draw from a limited reserve that must be replenished.
