Joe and Mac – Sega Genesis Game

Joe and Mac on the Sega Genesis is a prehistoric side-scrolling action platformer. You take the role of a caveman setting out to rescue the cave women snatched by a rival tribe, travelling through jungle, cavern, icy and volcanic stages. Your attacks come from throwable weapons picked up during play, such as clubs, bones, boomerangs and fire, each with its own range and arc, and you can also strike enemies at close quarters. Dinosaurs, insects, plants and rival cavemen stand in the way, and stages close out with oversized boss creatures that require pattern recognition and repeated hits. Food items scattered through levels top up your health bar. The Genesis release presents the cartoonish caveman world with colourful sprite work and a straightforward run, jump and throw structure.
