John Madden Football ’92 – Sega Genesis Game

An entry in the Madden football series for the Sega Genesis. You choose a team and call plays from a playbook using a play-selection screen, then take direct control on the field, throwing, running, blocking and tackling as the view scrolls with the ball. Downs, yardage, the clock and the score are tracked on screen, and instant replay lets you look back at a play. Options include exhibition games and playoff-style competition, and matches can be played solo or head-to-head with a second controller. The design sits between arcade action and simulation: plays and formations matter, but control remains direct and immediate. Weather and field conditions factor into how the game plays out.
