Kabuki Quantum Fighter – NES Game

Kabuki Quantum Fighter is a side-scrolling action platformer for the NES with a science fiction premise: a soldier’s consciousness is sent into a computer network to fight a virus threatening critical systems. Inside the machine he appears as a kabuki-styled warrior whose main weapon is his own hair, swung as a whip-like attack at close range. Stages are built from angular, circuit-inspired environments with platforms, pits and enemy drones, and you can climb and drop between levels of the layout while fighting. Defeated enemies drop chips that fuel secondary weapons, giving you limited-use ranged attacks to supplement the standard swing. Each stage ends in a boss fight against a larger guardian program. Play emphasises tight platforming and controlled melee spacing, with a synth-heavy soundtrack backing the digital setting.
