Kagero: Deception II is a PlayStation strategy game in which you defend a castle by killing intruders with traps rather than fighting them directly. Before each encounter you place devices around rooms and corridors, then lure visitors into position and trigger them at the right moment. Traps are set on walls, floors and ceilings, and the core of the game is chaining them together so one launches a victim into the next, which rewards more points and stronger equipment for later stages. Between missions you spend earned resources on new and upgraded traps, gradually widening the combinations available. A story plays out through cutscenes as characters arrive at the castle with their own motives, with branching outcomes tied to your choices. The pace is deliberate, favouring planning and timing over reflexes or direct combat.
