Karaoke Revolution Presents

Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol applies the Karaoke Revolution singing formula to the television talent-show format on PlayStation 2. You sing into a USB microphone while lyrics scroll on screen with a pitch guide showing the notes to hit, and the game scores your accuracy and timing. Rather than only playing to a crowd, the career structure frames performances as auditions and rounds in a competition, with judging and progression standing in for the show’s stages. You create and customise a contestant who appears on stage during songs. Solo play is joined by multiplayer options for taking turns with other singers. The set list is made up of cover versions of pop songs suited to the show’s style. It plays much like other entries in the series, with the licensed presentation layered over the singing.
