Kensei Sacred Fist – PS1 Game

Kensei: Sacred Fist is a one-on-one fighting game for the PlayStation, using 3D polygonal characters fighting on enclosed arenas. Combat leans on grounded martial arts styles, with strikes, throws, counters and reversals rather than long aerial combos, and matches are decided over rounds in the usual best-of format. The roster covers a range of disciplines, and characters are tied together by a story involving rival fighters and a martial arts organisation, with individual endings unlocked by completing the single-player arcade route. Alongside that are versus play against a second player, training and additional modes for practising moves. Movement includes sidestepping and positional play, so keeping your opponent in front of you is part of the fight.
