King of Fighters 2002 – PS2 Game

The King of Fighters 2002 is a 2D fighting game in SNK’s long-running series, presented here as a console conversion of the arcade release. Matches use the three-on-three team format: you assemble a squad of three fighters and battle an opposing team one member at a time, with the round continuing until one side has no fighters left. This entry drops the striker assist system used in some earlier titles and returns to a straightforward battle structure, with power gauge stocks that can be spent on super moves or on a MAX-powered state that strengthens your attacks. The roster draws heavily on established series characters across multiple teams. Additional console modes and practice options accompany the standard arcade ladder and versus play.
