King of Fighters 99 – PS1 Game

The King of Fighters ’99 is a 2D fighting game converted to PlayStation from the Neo Geo original. It changes the series format by pairing a three-fighter team with a fourth member designated as a striker, who can be called into the match briefly to perform an assist attack while you keep control of your active fighter. Other additions include a counter mode and armor mode that can be triggered from the power gauge, along with sidestep movement. The roster introduces a new group of fighters led by K’ alongside returning series regulars. Play options cover the single-player arcade ladder, two-player versus and team selection, and the PlayStation version includes extra content and presentation not found in the arcade release.
