The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon on the Wii is an action platformer and the third entry in the Legend of Spyro storyline. Spyro and Cynder start out chained together and fight as a pair, with a second player able to take over Cynder for co-operative play. Free flight is available across most areas rather than being limited to set sections, so levels are built with vertical space in mind. Combat combines melee combos with each character’s elemental breath attacks, which you strengthen using experience gained from fighting. Between battles you handle traversal puzzles and boss encounters, with voiced cutscenes carrying the plot. The Wii release uses the Remote and Nunchuk for movement and attacks, including motion input for some actions.
