Lethal Enforcers is Konami’s light gun shooter, brought to Sega CD from the arcade. You play as a police officer working through a series of crime scenes, shooting armed criminals while avoiding civilians who appear among them. Graphics use digitized photographic sprites for characters and backgrounds, giving the game a live-action look. Stages move through urban settings such as a bank robbery and a shootout in the streets, and you can pick up different firearms dropped during play, swapping your service pistol for heavier weapons for a limited time. Hitting bystanders costs you, so target identification matters as much as reflexes. The game supports Konami’s Justifier light gun, and a second gun allows two players to cover the screen together.
