Lord of the Rings

Set during the events of the Lord of the Rings films, The Third Age is a turn-based role-playing game built around an original party of characters whose journey runs alongside that of the Fellowship. Battles play out with your group and the enemy lined up on screen, and you choose attacks, spells and special abilities for each character in turn, spending resources that build up over the course of a fight. Characters develop along skill paths as they gain experience, learning new combat and support abilities, and you equip weapons and armour found along the way. Exploration takes place across locations drawn from the films, with cutscenes and film footage tying the story to familiar events. Party members can be swapped in and out as the campaign progresses.
