Lotus II – Sega Genesis Game

Lotus II is a racing game for the Sega Genesis, following the Amiga original in the Lotus series. You drive Lotus sports cars through a sequence of point-to-point races, aiming to pass enough opponents and reach checkpoints before the timer expires rather than simply finishing in first place. Courses vary the setting and driving conditions, with weather and visibility effects such as rain and fog changing how much of the road ahead you can read. The handling model leans toward arcade-style momentum, rewarding smooth lines and careful use of the brakes on tighter bends. A split-screen mode lets two players race at the same time on a shared cartridge, with the screen divided horizontally. Presentation includes a dashboard view and a rear-facing chase camera behind the car.
