Madden 2006 – Gamecube Game

Madden NFL 06 for Nintendo GameCube continues EA Sports’ American football series. You take an NFL team through exhibition games, seasons or a franchise mode that covers roster management, drafting and player progression across multiple years. Play calling happens from offensive and defensive playbooks, after which you control players directly for throwing, running, blocking, tackling and kicking. This entry introduces a passing mechanic that lets you lead receivers and place the ball high, low or away from defenders rather than simply targeting a player. Pre-snap adjustments, audibles and hot routes are available on both sides of the ball. Presentation uses a television-broadcast framing with commentary and statistical overlays. Two players can play against each other on the same console, and difficulty and rule settings adjust how strict the simulation is.
