Madden NFL 07 on Nintendo GameCube is an entry in EA Sports’ American football series. You choose an NFL team and play exhibition games, a full season, or a franchise mode in which you manage the roster, the draft and player development over multiple years. Play selection comes from offensive and defensive playbooks, and you control players directly once the ball is in play. This installment gives extra attention to the running game, with a ball carrier control scheme for cutbacks, jukes and following blockers, plus lead-blocker mechanics that let you take control of a blocker to open holes. Pre-snap audibles and hot routes are included on both sides of the ball. Broadcast-style presentation, commentary and statistics accompany the action, and two players can compete on one console.
