Major League Baseball Featuring Ken Griffey Jr. is a baseball game for the Nintendo 64 built around MLB team and stadium licensing, with Ken Griffey Jr. as the cover athlete. Play leans toward accessible arcade-style baseball rather than deep simulation: pitching and batting use straightforward timing and aiming, and fielding is handled with simple throws and catches, so games move quickly. You can play exhibition matches against the computer or a friend, and longer modes let you take a team through a season. Presentation uses the console’s chunky 3D player models and simple stadium environments, with announcer callouts and crowd sound during play. Multiplayer on a single console is a central part of the appeal, since the pick-up-and-play controls make it easy for newcomers to join in.
