Mappy-Land – NES Game

You play as Mappy, a mouse police officer, working through single-screen stages built from floors linked by trampolines. Cats patrol the levels, and you avoid them by bouncing between floors, opening doors to stun pursuers, and timing your runs to collect the items scattered across each screen. Clearing a stage means picking up everything without being caught, and bouncing too many times in a row on one trampoline breaks it. Stages are grouped into different themed settings, each with its own backdrop and hazards, and bonus rounds appear between them. Controls are simple, with movement and door-opening being the only actions, so difficulty comes from reading cat movement and planning routes. Play continues through progressively faster stages until your lives run out.
