Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games – Wii Game

Mario and Sonic characters compete in winter Olympic events on Wii. The event list covers disciplines such as skiing, snowboarding, skating, bobsleigh, curling, ice hockey and similar winter sports, with control schemes built around the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Some events involve tilting to steer, others swinging for timing or shaking to build speed. Characters from both franchises have different attributes that make them better suited to certain events, and there are also Dream Events that drop the Olympic rules in favor of exaggerated versions set in Mario and Sonic locations. You can play individual events, compete in medal-based competitions, or take turns and play head-to-head with others locally. Olympic licensing supplies the branding, venues and ceremonies.
