Mario Kart 7 is a kart racing game for Nintendo 3DS. You race as characters from the Mario series across themed tracks, drifting for boosts and using items such as shells, bananas and mushrooms picked up from item boxes. Karts gain a glider that deploys off ramps for airborne sections, and propellers let them drive underwater, so many courses mix ground, air and submerged routes. Karts are assembled from bodies, tyres and gliders that change speed, handling and other stats, and coins collected on the track raise your top speed. A first-person view uses the system’s gyroscope for steering. Grand Prix, Time Trials and Battle modes are included, along with local wireless and online races for up to eight players.
