Mario Party 5 is a board game and minigame collection for the GameCube with a dream theme running through its boards. Instead of buying items from shops, players collect capsules that can be thrown onto board spaces or used on themselves to alter movement, move stars or interfere with rivals. Up to four players roll dice blocks, gather coins and spend them on stars, with minigames after each round in free-for-all, team, one-versus-three and duel formats. Beyond the main board play, the game includes Super Duel Mode, where you assemble a vehicle from parts and fight other machines in the arena, plus modes for playing minigames on their own. The playable roster includes Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Daisy, Waluigi, Boo, Koopa Kid and Toad.
