Mario Party Star Rush is a party game for Nintendo 3DS. Its main mode, Toad Scramble, changes the usual format by having all players move at the same time rather than taking turns in sequence, so you race across a map to reach boss battles and recruit allies. You start as a Toad and pick up Mario series characters along the way, each adding dice options and bonuses to your rolls and to group attacks on bosses. Minigames break up the map play with short contests using buttons, touch controls and motion. Additional modes offer other rule sets and quicker matches, along with a coin-based mini board format. Local multiplayer is supported, including play with other systems using a single copy.
