Mario Strikers Charged – Wii Game

Mario Strikers Charged is a five-a-side football game for the Wii played with no fouls and an electrified perimeter fence that keeps the ball in play. You pick a team captain from the Mario cast, each with a unique special shot, and a set of sidekick characters who fill out the rest of the squad. Matches are fast and physical, allowing tackles and item use, and there is no offside or throw-in. Charging a shot can create a Mega Strike that splits into multiple balls, which the opposing goalkeeper must block by hand with the Wii Remote pointer. Pitches include hazards and surfaces that affect movement and shooting. Modes cover exhibition matches, cups against computer teams, and multiplayer play, with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk handling passing, shooting and defence.
