Mario Tennis Ultra Smash – Wii U Game

Mario Tennis Ultra Smash is a tennis game for Wii U starring Mario series characters. Matches are played in singles or doubles with the usual shot types, including topspin, slice, lob, drop shot and flat shots, plus jump shots for high balls. The game adds a mechanic in which a Mega Mushroom can temporarily enlarge a player, increasing reach and power for a short stretch of the rally. Modes include standard matches, a mode built around consecutive wins against increasingly difficult opponents, and options for local and online play. Courts vary in surface, changing ball speed and bounce, and the roster covers familiar characters with differing speed, power and reach. Presentation is high definition with straightforward tennis rules underneath.
